Robert A. Krentzman is a Chief Operating Officer with proven ability and repeated success in designing, upgrading and operating production and shipping facilities to increase productivity, decrease cost and meet customer Just-In-Time demands. He is experienced in all phases of Operations, Project Management, Business Development and P&L Responsibility. He is a team-oriented individual who has a uniquely effective ability to motivate others on all levels through open communication and collaborative relationships in the achievement of individual and organizational goals.
Bob is the President and CEO of Chain Reaction Logistics, located in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Chain Reaction provides middle market product companies with product development and supply chain management solutions along with hands-on logistics operations expertise. Chain Reaction coordinates all aspects of product development and manufacturing cycles, with a fully integrated assembly, shipping and logistics network designed to maximize retail sales and service levels, resulting in better efficiencies and increased profit.
Established in 2003, Chain Reaction's "Concept to Consumer" approach allows companies to fully integrate product development, business forecasting and planning, warehousing, logistics and product fulfillment with marketing and consumer understanding, real-time sales and retail expertise. It provides companies the infrastructure, product solutions and tools to support the largest chains and compete with the biggest manufacturers. Chain Reaction Logistics' client list includes Bradford Soap Company, Mizuho USA, Mangiacotti Florals, Power-it Automotive, US Soap Corporation and Food/Drug/Mass Marketing Inc.
Prior to starting Chain Reaction Logistics, Bob spent 15 years as Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer of Sarah Michaels, a market innovator of an upscale Bath & Body boutique program sold through mass market retailers. Bob led the operations from start-up to over $100 million in sales. Sarah Michaels produced an average of 10 million gift sets, POP displays and promotional items per year. Bob oversaw a complex organization that was responsible for all elements of operation including product procurement, assembly, quality control, logistics, supply chain management and distribution. Bob was instrumental in bringing on-line a brand new, state of the art production and distribution center.
Through dedication and hard work, Bob's team was recognized as "Vendor of the Year" by Target (twice), Wal-Mart, and CVS and also received the REX Award as "Supplier of the Decade" for their outstanding customer service.
In 1999, Bob handled the acquisition of Sarah Michaels by the Dial Corporation, acting as the Boston lead person for all M&A activities. Upon a successful transition to Dial, Bob moved with his family to Florida to become the COO of Solar Cosmetics Labs, where he was responsible for all operational concerns for this medium-sized, FDA regulated sun-care manufacturer including research and development, laboratory, quality control, manufacturing, processing, production, facility management, distribution and all back office functions. There, he led the transition of all outsourced packaging, production and reclamation to being done in-house, as well as streamlined the vendor supply chain and pricing structure, resulting in a 45% cost savings.
Bob Krentzman is a member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) as well as the Inventors Association of New England, Business Network International (BNI), Association for Cooperate Growth (A.C.G.) and Effective Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) . He attended Northeastern University where he majored in Political Science. Bob also served on the Chelsea, Massachusetts School Committee, where he was the youngest City Official in Chelsea's history, and served as Chairman of the Board.
Bob and his wife Lily live in Mansfield, Massachusetts with their son Brian.
